Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering
This course is for those planning a career or already working as engineering technicians on electronics and communications systems. You will learn how to develop, select, commission, maintain and diagnose faults/malfunctions of electronic components/sub-assemblies, apparatus and systems.
Certificate 3 in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Light Fabrication)
You will acquire skills and knowledge in workplace communication, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), quality procedures systems and planning, engineering measurement, computations and computer technology plus industry-specific skills in light metal fabrication that are relevant to your current or intended employment.
Certificate 3 in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
You will acquire skills and knowledge in workplace communication, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), quality procedures systems and planning, engineering measurement, computations and computer technology plus industry-specific skills in welding, boilermaking and light fabrication (sheetmetal) relevant to your current or intended employment.
Work placement:
Workplace learning ('on-the-job' training) of a minimum of 288 hours is required for the achievement of competencies to receive the Certificate 3 in Engineering - Fabrication Trade. The hours can be paid or not paid based on outcome of negotiation with employer.
Diploma of Engineering - Technical
This course is for people aiming at employment in the metal and engineering industry in occupations at engineering technician level carrying out tasks such as mechanical engineering design.
You will gain compulsory competencies in organising and analysing information, interacting with computing technology and selecting engineering materials. You will also gain a range of elective competencies in areas relevant to your current or intended employment, such as CAD drafting, and mechanical principles/design.
Advanced Diploma of Engineering Design (Structural Specialisation)
The Advanced Diploma of Engineering Design enables students to gain knowledge and skills, to prepare them for employment within design in the field of Engineering. An Engineering technician would support or supplement the work of a professional engineer by preparing drawings and specifications, designing to requirement, calculating and costing projects, coordinating and programming tasks, testing materials and developing quality control techniques.
The course aims to provide students with skills in structural design drafting, basic surveying, materials testing, project management as well as background knowledge to the construction industry, structural design drafting and analysis.
In addition to the units developed for these courses, and the imported units of competency from a number of Training Packages, graduates will also develop the following employability skills:

Advanced Diploma of Engineering Mechanical
This course is for people aiming at employment in the metal and engineering industry in occupations at engineering associate level carrying out tasks such as mechanical engineering design and/or management.

You will also gain a range of elective competencies in areas relevant to your current or intended employment, such as CAD drafting, engineering design, engineering management, and project management.

This course is for those planning a career or already working as engineering officers in the electrical industry. You will learn how to design and validate/evaluate electrical equipment and systems and provide technical systems advice/sales.
Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology - Electronics
This course is for those planning a career or already working as engineering officers in the electronics industry.
You will learn how to design and validate/evaluate electronics and/or communication equipment and systems and provide technical advice/sales.
