Study Tours program

Our study tours program offers groups of overseas students and adults a unique educational experience that includes visiting schools, participating in classes, school activities and special events conducted in the school or local community.

There are two different types of study tours – Student Groups and Adult Groups and each tour can be tailored to the interests and needs of each group.

Student tour groups

Student study tours are arranged for groups of 10 or more students. They can range from a half-day tour to up to 10 weeks. Find out more about student groups.

Adult tour groups

Adult study tours are arranged for international educators, principals, teachers, government officers and others interested in the NSW system of public education. Find out more about adult groups.

How to book a study tour

The DE International study tours team coordinates study tour groups into NSW government schools. Bookings must be made through a tour operator that is registered with DE International (see below).

Note: Tour operators or study tour groups must not contact schools directly to book or discuss study tours programs.

Study tours are very popular so it is essential to plan ahead. Please allow a minimum of 12 weeks' notice excluding school holidays, especially for homestay programs.

Our Itinerary Builder allows groups to plan a study tour and discover the options available. It can generate an itinerary that can be submitted with your application form.

Tour operators can submit an online or paper form to apply:

N.B.: Chrome browser users selecting the Paper Form option must click the link to download the form. Once the form has been downloaded, save the document to your computer and complete it. When completed, click the SUBMIT button within the form to finalise the process.
