Orientation
Each TAFE NSW campus conducts an orientation session before each course begins.
The orientation session provides new students with information about:
- The campus
- Living in Australia
- The range of services available to international students
- Whom to contact if you need help during your stay
You are also introduced to your International Students Coordinator and you meet other international students who are starting at TAFE NSW Institutes.
It is very important that you attend the orientation session which will:
- Answer many of your questions
- Help you settle into your new environment
- Help you in your studies
Arrange your flights so that you arrive in Australia at least one week before your course starts so that you can attend the orientation session.
Orientation sessions are designed by each campus to suit their particular students which include:
- Welcome and introduction to the campus
- Campus tour
- Enrolment procedures
- Visa regulations
- Information on counselling and career services
- Study skills
- Student support services
- Accommodation information
- Library resources

Agent search
DEC International has a worldwide network of representative agents who can help you complete and submit your application to study.
These representatives must provide you with accurate and up-to date information and advice regarding programs, courses, application procedures, living and studying in Australia. They can also assist with your visa application. If you wish to apply through an agent it is recommended that you use an agent on this list. If you choose to use another agent who is not published on this list, then TAFE NSW is not responsible for the accuracy of the advice provided to you.
TAFE NSW English Language Centre agents
TAFE NSW English Language Centres also engage agent representatives and details of these agents can be found on the English Language pages for each of the listed Institutes. These agents may recruit students for intensive English language courses but not for any other courses at TAFE NSW.
